TOPIC: TD 2003 Treasure Token Bag!

Hey, <br /><br />Can anyone confirm the existence of a 2003 TD Treasure Kit bag?<br /><br />I recently won an eBay auction with 16 2003 tokens and they came in a bag that is sort of "engraved."  Not the usual screened on stuff, but actually pressed/indented into the pleather.<br /><br />I'm pretty sure this is the only one I have ever seen!  <br /><br />G

I was not going to lose that 2003 lot of tokens...but to make it up to you I sent a PM with at least one trade idea.<br /><br />As for a Picture - maybe some other time...and I am not sure it would turn out very well anyhoo.

Gary,<br />It is very possible that it is a bag from 2003 socal.  The first bags had an embossed logo, I have seen black with no ink, black with gold ink in the embossment, and grey with the embossed logo and gold ink (I have seen both).  The thing I do not remember is if there were any embossed bags used in 2004, if there were left overs, it might be that there were some of those embossed bags used in 2004.  Either way, I am resonibly certain that those bags were made in 2003.<br /><br />Dave

COOL - thanks Dave...Guess I will be looking at my bags soon to see what I have...<br /><br />I know I have some Grey ones...not sure if they are embossed or not.

This is an embossed one.  You can see the threads inside the gold.  I never realized there was a difference.  The bag inside says "BAG (ONLY) MADE IN TAIWAN".  My black bags say made in Indonesia, and you can't see the threads.  Lol I have been using these bags to send out tokens.<br /> <br />Is this what you have Gary?

Very cool - I don't have any black bags with black lettering, embossed or otherwise.  I'd love to trade for one though if anyone has an extra laying around.  <br /><br />Don't worry about outbidding me on it - since it has a token you needed for your set, I'm glad you got it.  While I like to get 2003 & 2004 tokens, I am sure I'll never have a complete set.  <br /><br />Bro
