TOPIC: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

My street is a big circle, and half of that is cul-de-sacs of townhomes.  You can get a LOT of candy just going around both sides of the street.  We tend to get the littlest kids in the afternoon, then a break for dinner, the elementary school age kids around dusk, and the middle school kids (and a few high schoolers) late into the evening.  We give out comic books along with candy, and we've been doing it enough years in a row that we've become known for it.

Comic books - awesome idea!  Hope they are not of the "Captain Fantastic versus the Cavity Monster" variety!  <br />

LOL  No, real comics.  The local store that my dad gets his comics at has had bundles of stuff from their dime and quarter boxes available at Halloween, so my dad usually picks up several of those.  We also gave away all of my sister and my old Barbie/Betty and Veronica/other girlie-type comics from when we were little, so the past few years, he's also picked up a selection of those kind of things.  And some Richie Rich, etc for the little kids.
