By the way, I have to fly down to San Antonio for TDY at Ft. Blevins next week.  So for those "Deep in the heart of Texas," glad you made it home and I'll wave from 36,000 ft as I go over your home. 

Ft. Blevins? I thought I knew all the bases in the San Antonio area, but I'm not familiar with that one. What branch is it?<br /><br />Oh, and by the time you fly over my house, you'll probably have started your descent, so you'll be lower than 36,000'.  =D

<br /><br />TDY = Temporary DutY.  I have orders from the Army sending me to to an Army Medical Course (AMEDD), but I'll only be in San Antonio for 6 days of clasess and "fun" (i.e. homework and study when not in class) so it is considered just a temporary duty station.

Temporary Duty ____?____ I think.

<br /><br />It's a real Army "Base."  Actually it more like a really, really big Army deserted lot outside of town in the middle of no where.  I'll be staying/having classes in the Doubletree at the airport and just have to go out in the field for the practical side of the training.  Other than high grass, a few tents and chiggers, there isn't much at the field site we will be using.
