TOPIC: Gods & Heroes Beta

Anyone into the videogames like I am should head over to community.godsandheroes.com/ and create an account. Then click on the closed beta keys and get one and join in. We can make a True Dungeon tribe there. Frankly for those into video games if we form an offline group we can get into tons of beta's cause they always want guild dynamics tested. This thread is for those interested so let me know .

Monthly fee after launch?<br />

always is.. I hop from beta to beta to avoid them. Thats what I keep trying to get going is a group of folks who I know (like the people here) who plays MMOs and wants to test them out. Many betas offer contests where they give away subscriptions and stuff during the stress weekends.

Feh. Pass. I've never played any monthly fee game and I'm not going to start now. I tend to run too hot and cold on games. I tend toward the obsessive at first and then there will be lulls where I won't touch it for half a year. Nowadays, I just avoid temptation and never try them. A penny saved is 1/100,000th toward my token purchase.

Yup I too avoid paying them, hence the whole hopping from beta to beta thing. I have to save lots of money this year for lots of token happiness too .

Hmmm... since I usually get bored with all online games in like a month, I may have to check this out.<br />And I like the idea of a TD Beta Guild for these.<br /><br /><br />Also...  you never PM'd me your address for the token I'm supposed to send you.  Did you?

Try GuildWars it a one time fee unless you wanna by the expansions but after that there is no monthly fee and its got good gameplay i think.

<br /><br />I feel the same..actually, my perspective is that they get to charge me either upfront or monthly, not both. So, if they want to tag on a monthly fee, they can either make it a free online DL, or they can sell it in stores with a free subscription for a duration equal to their monthly fee ($15) times the # of months it costs to pay for the game upfront. In other words, if it's a $60 game, and the monthly fee is $15, then I require the first 4 months free.

Am sad.  I never got one of the codes to play in the beta.  =|

Not too take this thread too off topic, but does anyone here play WOW? I was considering giving it a go, but again don't want anything to do with the upfront fee. I see copies of the game going for very cheap on ebay used, but will I be able to play the game after they've already registered their CD key?

Yes you should be able to but be careful that you don't then end up having the former or not so former owner of the game take back the account (because they will still have the information) and lose your account. I would strongly suggest any game with an account you buy a new one and safeguard it. I do play WoW by the way and yes it does have a monthly cost plus the upfront fee of actually buying the game but I enjoy the world and have friends who play online with me.<br /><br />Lady Myke<br /><br />
