TOPIC: Mouse Guard

Mouse Guard 16 years 8 months ago #1

Has anyone heard of it? Everytime I bring it up everyone looks at me strangely even though the book and artist are winning awards.

Mouse Guard is a pretty awesome story. It is done in a comic style and the first series was recently released in a hard cover collection. It's written and illustrated by David Petersen, who is actually an alumni from my college! =D

Anyway, the book is really entertaining and is getting an rpg based off of it next year. They also have PVC figures coming out next month I believe, and have t-shirts and mugs.

Oh! Redwall, that would make sense. I have read some of the Redwall series, I should have thought about that. ;/

Anyway, Mouse Guard is similar to that, only it's more like a comic book. It reminded me kind of like a fantasy twist of Secret of Nimh. I was really impressed by it. It's quite a captivating story.

No worries. We all fall prey to the typo demons now and again. =D

It looks like I'm the only one who has heard of it, Marilyn doesn't count.

Redwall is exactly what I thought of as well. I loved that series! I've got all the books, personalized and autographed, on shelves in my living room. Brian Jacques is a really cool guy.
