TOPIC: DnD 4th Edition!!!!!!!

<br />I'm pretty sure I'll never buy another D&D book - unless it is from days long past...<br /><br />I just liked the THAC0 system better than what it went to.<br /><br />Also the module writing was so much better.<br /><br />Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh, the against the Giants series, the Slavers series...etc.<br />

<br /><br />THAC0 makes me feel all nostalgic.  =D  But I do have to say that I did like 3.5 and I think we'll either stick with that or just make the permanent move to the game that we're forever trying to finish of our own design.  As for modules...well, we don't tend to use those anyway.  I have a flair for the dramatic and most of the games I end up running involve how you will save the world next. 

I liked THaC0 too, but I think 3.5 (or even 3.0) and the d20 system is easier for getting some of my friends who were a little resistant to try RPGs into the gaming fold.<br />Unless something REALLY amazing comes out of 4.0, I doubt I'm going to do the switch again.  I still have plaenty of 3.0 and 3.5 stuff that I can use to make up new campaigns.

While at gencon my friend and I were attempting to to recruit for The Peoples Liberation Army of 2nd Ed (by trolling the halls yelling THAAACC0000!!!! at passerbys) but the interest wasn't there...so we had to form a press gang.<br /><br />You all will accept 2nd Edition back into your hearts AND LIKE IT!!!!<br /><br />Thaaaccc0000!!!!!!

What is THaC0?<br /><br />By the by, since we have lots of newbies I probably should preface my question by stating I'm not a gamer. But, um yeah what is THaC0?

THAC0 stands for "To Hit Armor Class 0"<br /><br />Back in second edition, the lower your armor class the better.  With the new systems, higher is better.  It is easier, to me, in the new editions, because you don't have to deal with negative numbers.  =|  I dislike math...

I feel so old...

I felt old the day my younger brother turned 20, I'm sure I'll feel even older when the youngest brother hits 18 in January...  :|

Why?<br /><br />What makes me feel old is seeing my cousins kids graduate highschool and getting married.
