TOPIC: for those who are trying my patience

I would like to state a couple of things for the record.  <br /><br />That quote, from me, in Dougl's post, is more than a bit misleading.  Everyone here needs to know that it was sent in response to a PRIVATE MESSAGE that Dougl had sent to me.  But, by leaving out that fact Dougl makes it seem like I sent him a ranting PRIVATE MESSAGE.  He initiated the exchange and I merely replied to his PRIVATE MESSAGE.<br /><br />Second, what I said to Dougl was in the form of PRIVATE MESSAGE.  Reprinting it here for everyone to see was not only in very poor taste but was also extremely inflammatory in regards to this topic.<br /><br />Speaking of this topic, Jeff Martin said that he locked the thread and that he would prefer to not discuss it here and asked that I be understanding in his decision.  I have no problem with that and I accepted his decision to lock the thread and I dropped the issue.  (Jeff, my PM to you was written before I saw your reply in this thread.  Please disregard certain aspects of it.  Thank you.)  I dropped the issue.  And, in line with my second point, it was in very poor taste and also extremely inflammatory for Dougl to reopen the issue after Jeff Martin expressly asked that it be dropped.  Yes, he asked me, but anyone with an ounce of intelligence should have been able to infer that he wanted the entire issue dropped, by everyone.<br /><br />Additionally, I was not booted from these forums.  I made a decision to delete my account and take some time away from these forums for a while.  While it is true that I didn't have to delete my account, I decided that I wanted to delete it.  Nor was I punished for my comment about roasting baby jesus.  The post was deleted.  Jeff sent me a PM asking that I drop the issue and I did.  He also posted a comment in a thread asking that the issue be dropped, and I dropped it.  So, there was no punishment of me for my comment.  While some people found it offensive, it obviously wasn't so offensive so as to warrant having my account deleted by the Moderators of these forums.  Once I post this thread I will delete this account again and continue my time away from these forums.<br /><br />Finally, and this is directed to Dougl, before you ride around on your high horse acting holier-than-thou and that your crap doesn't stink, take a look at the way you continued to poke at this issue after Jeff asked that the matter be dropped.  It was highly disrespectful and very immature.<br /><br /><br /><br />Take care and have a great day....<br /><br /><br /><br />ciao,<br />john.<br /><br /><br />PS  If anyone wants to give a direct rebuttal to me please feel free to e-mail me at jvid79@cbot.com.  But, this offer does NOT apply to Dougl.

My vote is for the SciFi channel--1957ish B grade horror flick, like The Blob or the Screaming Skull.  I actually went to see the Screaming Skull over the protests of my mother, and they really did have a nurse at the theater in case anyone had a heart attack (just like they advertised).  But probably nobody here remembers things like that in movie theaters.  <br /><br />Or who knows--maybe Spike TV with winner take all cage matches.<br /><br /><br /><br />Widseth

I'd be much more agreeable to us being Spike TV, than E!. *shudders*<br />I'm sorry but the thought of all those hollywood gossip/news shows just ruins the thought.<br /><br />Sci fi wouldn't be too bad I think, but it's been years since I had any idea what their programming was.
