No, this is not to talk about the book or give away any spoilers.

I was just wondering if there were any others out there who were as geeky as me. Got the book Friday at midnight. Came home and started reading. About 3:30 am passed out. Roughly 7 am woke up and continued reading till it was done which was about 2 pm.

I will say this...it takes a damned good author telling a damned good story to get me laughing and crying and cheering while reading.

Harry who?

Oh I think I have seen parts of one or two movies...and wasn't this one of the LARP things put on last year.

Honestly, our house has not caught Harry fever...maybe when the kids are older.

Me, me, me! I didn't get the book til about 9am on Saturday, and still have 100 or so pages to go. So many deaths! I don't know if I can take many more!

binia

Ugh, I know what you mean, Binia. Won't say anything specific to avoid spoilers, but it was a great book. Got it midnight Friday, stayed up to about 1:30, read thru most of yesterday, and finished it today. Can't believe that's the end!

Done now, and it was very good. The epilogue left me with many questions, although if I ask what you think, it'd be a spoiler. Mostly it's about the careers of the adults... wish we knew more.

I do hope when they get to the last movie they say 'hang the budget' and just use the book as the script. Some of the visuals in my head I got while reading it would be great to see.

Especially those last couple chapters. Gods..the urge to say something...must....resisit..

And Gary...plplplbbbtttt!

back at cha...

I think the first movie put me to sleep if I recall...

I'll give it another go, but english accents are a trite bit annoying.

Well, when you read the book, just give them French or Australian accents!
OK so someone PM me the details - who dies and what not...

I figure I won't read the book, so at least I can be a sound board for the pros and cons of it.

I worked at our local Waldenbooks that night as their Harry Potter expert. I received my book by 12:15 and was out of the store by 12:30. I got home and stayed up all night reading the book. It took me 7 hours and 28 minutes. Shaman, pm me if you want to talk about the book.

Kim

Ok I was at the store at midnight to pick up the book, but not for me. I really don't read that much(unless its a Graphic Novel). If someone could pm me the details of the book, I would like that much. Oh and what about the reprint with a new ending possibly coming out on next saturday?
Its funny how something that takes multiple days to set up comes down in a few hours...

What are you talking about regarding a reprint?

Kim
