TOPIC: On a personal note...

You know my husband tore his ACL a few years ago and walked on it without surgery for over 8 months. He was stupid and didn't see a doctor right away. Also it runs in his family. My sister in law is a skier and coachs the 3-5 yr olds (I may be wrong on the age group) and she's torn her ACL and Meniscus and lots others in her career. She's younger than you Gary. She would laugh that her Doctor had a file on her that was bigger than most of the Edmonton Eskimos(local football team for those that don't Canada very well). So all in all Gary, lots of hugs and good positive thoughts for you. Knees are bad things to have snap on you. Or in my husbands case it was a "pop".<br /><br />Lady Myke

This was a nice big meaty POP!  <br /><br />Yes, I have been off the crutches (after getting the OK from the orthopedic DR) for about a week now and I am even riding a floor bike to slow muscle atrophy.  I've lost over an inch in my thigh and an inch in my calf.  The guy across the street does not have an ACL after his accident, he tells me to get it replaced so I can live a fairly normal life - not having to worry about it giving out on me in certain situations.<br /><br />I guess the knee is a bit stronger after the surgery...so we shall see.<br /><br />Yep - Wife had knee surgery, Brother-in-law, now me...just part of a club now.<br /><br />Thanks for all the well wishes!<br />G

Volleyball injury... that's not what I heard... I heard you sped across the picnic grounds, leapt a fence, over a ditch and dove across the street to pull a small child, who had wandered out on the street to fetch a volleyball, out of the way of an oncoming truck.<br /><br />OSI will rebuild you.
