Oh, and nice job on the footings.

(Although a hexagon could be dead useful when gaming down there.)

Chandler,

Nice job on the deck...it looks all professional.

One tip though.....never post photos on this forum of projects you've built successfully. It only gives Jeff ideas...he's going to be bothering you now about building some crazy blah blah blah for TD. You must HIDE any and all skills you have from him. (Just ask Grover) tee hee.....Dave knows too....Hide your skills, or you'll be recruited into some other crazy darned thing!

Nice job...enjoy it!

Lori

PS....Teagan has gotten so big! She's a cutie.

I'm confused... where are the foam rocks? Where are the foam timbers?

Nicely done!

Oh and Dave, I've helped hang, tape, compound and sand drywall in a few homes. Let me know when you need some help. I'd be curious to see all the progress on the farm.

You will have to bug Dave more than this to have him ask you for help. He loves to help everyone else out, but he is not much one to ask for help. I guess that is why Dave is the man.

Jeff,
I really like how you have Geek Dreamweaver in your signature. That's kind of cool.

Kim

Thanks. I want to build more stuff for TD, I just need to learn animatronics so I can scare the "bujeebus" out of people.

I think we'll keep her.

I sincerely hope that you "buried" something at the bottom of each of your post holes! When I was a kid and helped my dad build our deck he had us dig the post holes during the week while he was at work. We made sure that we buried something at the bottom of each post hole. Most of them simply had army men in coffins in them, but one of them had a newspaper sealed in a plastic bag. I now advocate that people leave behind such mini "time capsules" any time they do construction, even if it is simply leaving a note behind the drywall that you have just hung up.

Take care and have a great day....

ciao,
john.

I didn't think to leave anything behind in the footer bottoms. I wish I would have. Darn!

I've done stuff like that when repairing holes in the walls...but seldom bury stuff...hmmm I need to do that at least once.

Sounds similar to the Hall of Fame Dad report I watched recently on ESPN. A guy hid a picture of his Dad at Cooperstown, with a note on it to his Dad saying he was hall-of-fame-worthy as a father. Apparently it is now part of the HoF collection, but is not displayed.

Brian
