<br /><br />Oh, man - I wish I could get to GenCon for the cheap price of selling some of my tokens. As it is, even if I was able to net over a Grand for various token sales, it still wouldn't cover the cost of airfare + a share of the hotel.<br /><br />If I was to put some of my old comic books online, though... that might make for a fancy vacation somewhere exotic. It's not like I can't read Wolverine online, or like the early X-men haven't been reprinted a dozen times.<br />

<br /><br />Speakin' of Canada... while I was a novice comic collector back in the days of yore, I collected the first 20-ish Alpha Flight. Was that very popular up there?<br /><br />Oh, and I better go check out the bids... got my eye on two of them.<br />

I'm a big Alpha Flight fan (I guess I should say Was since they're all dead now), pretty much just when Byrne was doing it.  Guardian was definitely my favorite Alpha Flight member!  <br /><br />

Gaurdian Male or Female???...I always liked Puck - straght forward and comical all in one tiny package.

Guardian Male.  Even though he only lasted 12 issues (but I've lost count of how many times he's been resurrected since then, hopefully he's got at least one more in him).  I like the entire classic team - Guardian, Sasquatch, Marrina, Puck, Northstar, Aurora, Snowbird, Shaman.  I think Marvel keeps missing the point, every time they bring the comic back, it's never with the classic team.  <br /><br />Just like the Teen Titans.  If they stray too far from the Wolfman / Perez team, it loses my interest pretty fast.  <br /><br />

<br /><br />Ms. Marvel - now you're talking (and she's back in a big way these days)!  Some of my favorite characters are from the early/mid 70's, and Ms. Marvel and Machine Man are at the top of that list!  (a list which includes the Micronauts, Shade the Changing Man, Moon Knight, Nova, and Ambush Bug).  That's just from DC & Marvel - go into the 80's and Independents and you've got Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the early issues), Nexus, Badger, Grimjack, Groo, Mr. Monster, E-Man, Solar, Magnus, and lots more!  And the obscure favorite Kelvin Mace!
