See, first you're kiting checks for scammers abroad and before you know it you're shotgunning preachers . It just never works out right.

I've always loved the naming of programs in the school of technology at Purdue. Take the engineering program and add the word technology.

Mechanical engineering (ME) --> mechanical engineering technology (MET)
electrical and computer engineering (ECE) --> electrical and computer engineering technology (ECET)

I guess I am a bit old now, it sounds like:

EECT - Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology has been re-named ECET - Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology. Sorry, I haven't kept up since I graduated.

Yep, that is what they did.

There is one good thing about the addition of the word Technology. Some courses that are not counted for credit for "engineering" students, now can be counted. Such as my trip to the Smokey Mountains a couple of summers ago. That class counted for 4 science credits, credits that are not allowed for "engineering" students. It was nice to get the rest of my science credits done in a week, without having to sit through a wash out chemistry or biology course with a lab. The other side of it, since it is electrical engineering, "engineering" students only courses I can get into and have count. All I have left is Senior Project stuff.

WOOT!

Good luck with senior year and finishing those projects. (And don't let grand prix distract you too much this week! :occasion14:) I'm currently a grad student over in chemical engineering.
