I might go with the kids. Still considering it.

I went last year and it was pretty fun. There was one guy that was very funny. Brom? Boon? Poon? Something like that. Anyway, very funny.

Was his skin yellowish in tinge and only had one eye? I seem to remember him on the plains of West Karana.

He sounds...uh... unique. Then again, it could also describe some college students after a weekend party. Ah, the old days.

I do need to go again. I've been to Bristol, and Shakopee many years ago. Indy started one two years ago that has done well and is groing. I want to get over to the Ohio Ren Faire. It is supposed to be pretty good.

We'll see how the timing goes.

Hey Stu, can you give me some details on the Indy RenFaire? I didn't realize we had one. I've done the one in Maryland several times (always a great time) and once in Virginia (a good time, a notch below Maryland). Nothing to feed that inner barbarian like gnawing on a huge barbeque turkey leg :-)

Mike

Absolutely. Technically it is Fishers (a northern 'burb) but it's all part of greater Indianapolis.

You can read about it at their website http://4.37.65.169/ .

While certainly not comparable with one of the larger, permanent Ren Faires, it does a decent job. A single, long afternoon is more than enough to soak it in, watch a couple shows, eat a drumstick the size of Foss Altus' Hammer and browse around a most of the traveling craft tents. This October will be its third year. If it continues to grow like it did between the first two years, we could be in for a treat soon.

They are too funny. :)
Last year it was so funny cause everything was going wrong. This one kid kept jumping up on stage and hijacking the attention. And the forest guy would sneak on stage behind them, take something and leave a rock!
So they had to go chasing after him to get it back. The show actually ran till after closing time. heehehe.

Broon, eh? Sorta disapointing but all for the best. Just think of the teasing he would have gotten in school otherwise.

Okay, Jen is up for it. Very unfortunately it starts the week AFTER my spring break, but we'll make a day of it on a weekend or call in sick. Any interest in SoCal people meeting there for a turkey leg or a show?

Brian
Its only during the weekend, during april 7th through may 20th. So hopefully that shouldn't interfer with your work schedule.

Depending on what size Jen is, if she wants to go in garb I may have something she can borrow. Lemmie know. :)
And also let me know if you get a Socal TD group together. :)
Thanks - hadn't realized it was just a weekend thing. I know Jen would prefer a Sat. to a Sun. I'll ask Jen if she is interested in garb - thanks for the offer!

Okay, how many of us are SoCal located? I only know me, Joyus, and Douglas for sure (or should I say, "fer sher?"). I'm interested in meeting people for a turkey leg or a show!

Brian
