If there is a large enough group of people I doubt there'll be trouble.  Especially if its first thing in the morning.  The only concern I would have would be the sanitation of the faculties.  After all I would not want to get sick from eating any pancakes now would I?<br /><br />Anyways I am glad to see such interest in a very silly topic.  It makes me smile! Even if nothing actually happens in regards to pancakes I would still love to bring down a bottle or two for you Americans! =D

The Marriott technically only has problems with food and prepping food in the conference areas.  They stated we could rent a suite, or in our room, anything goes.  What about microwave waffles (or pancakes), I know they are not as good, but...<br /><br />Also pancakes can be made from scratch early, frozen, then nuked (they last about two weeks in the freezer).  We do that all the time at home for the kids.  Mess up the kitchen once a week then have pancakes on demand for the rest of the week.

<br />Also pancakes can be made from scratch early, frozen, then nuked (they last about two weeks in the freezer).  We do that all the time at home for the kids.  Mess up the kitchen once a week then have pancakes on demand for the rest of the week.<br />[/quote]<br /><br />This is true.  I do it as well.  Except that my pancakes never last long enough to freeze.  My children (or husband) usually sneak off with as snacks before I can get around to freezing them.  That and my husband likes to invite people over for breakfast on Sundays.  So the stack of pancakes don't last long.<br /><br />Besides somehow I don't think I will want to be lugging soggy pancakes down in the 8 or so hour trip down from Canada.  Because you know they are going to thaw and I really don't want to open my luggage to that kind of a mess. :O  I think I will stick to my contribution being the syrup.<br /><br />What about microwave waffles (or pancakes), I know they are not as good, but...<br /><br />If there is a grocery store nearby we could pick up some packages of Eggos and those nuke not half bad.  Or the hotplate might be nice to warm them up. 

does anyone know what time the Ram opens? being that they are very gamer friendly, do you think he might be talked into opening for breakfast one morning? that is assuming he would be able to get enough interested parties/customers.<br /><br /> any ideas on this would be welcome. i will be driving up to meet some friends there for lunch in april. any ideas might be worth passing on to them.<br /><br />just a thought.  =|

They serve breakfast during gencon.

Two years ago, the Ram was open 24 hours; I think that was a little hard on Dave, the manager of the Ram.  Last year, they closed briefly; I want to say something like 3 or 4 am to 8am I think.  He seemed to be happier with that schedule.  Both of those years they did offer a limited breakfast.  We haven't heard from IndyDav yet on the Gen Con forums, but hopefully he'll have breakfast available again this year; I'm going to Indy in April, so if we haven't heard from him by then, I'll bug him for info.  =)
