Alternatively you can pour pancake batter over some overheated Gencon goers.  The effect is the same.

They'd smell FUNKY.

I would rather my pancakes look Funky than taste FUNKY thank you very much!  After all, it is not everyday that a pancake cook off is suggested.  Would a reasonable solution be see if we can find a restuarant willing to put up with our pancake tasting party.  That way a hot plate may be used for the Bacon.  Or feeding that poor starving Oatmeal guy!<br /><br />Anyway now that I have let the cat out of the bag "Meowr" I will definitely try to bring some Canadian Maple Syrup down.  Of course that means I may have to leave with some of this supposed good Vermont Syrup you understand!  I look forward to seeing you all down at Gencon this year!  Maple syrup fiends and all!  =D

My pancakes always look funky...but don't tell the wife I said that...

When I make pancakes and they start to get funky, I just scramble them and call them scrambled pancakes (I charge a buck more for the scrambled ones).  I think they would fit GenCon goers 'cause most of them are kind of scrambled by the last day.<br /><br /><br />Widseth

Does anyone actually live near downtown indy? Maybe we can impose on them and their kitchen to make this stuff. I think this would be a really spiffy idea. Everyone can chip in and we get a nice homey pancake party.

I say making them in a room would be IDEAL...we just need someone with a big enough hot-plate...

Do any of the hotels have like a grill on their roof?  LOL  All the pancakes must be uniform or else the syrup comparison will not hold.<br /><br />Further, should we do this Iron Chef style then?  Secret Ingredient is PANCAKE
