Wow that one cat looks REALLY angry. I am glad I just put bows on my cats. They should be thankful for that!.

Still, we just had blueberry pancakes on Sunday with Turkey bacon for me and the kids. (I am intolerant to pork and unfortunately passed it onto my kids). So Vermont maple syrup eh? I will have to try it but I still hold to Canadian Maple Syrup!. Maybe I will bring some down and share with people. Of course that would mean having to have a pancake breakfast somewhere or I just may have to bring down some tiny bottles of syrup. Hmm I will have to think on that. So I know at least two bottles for sure. One for Brian and one for Jeff! Hmmm!

Hmmm...a Candian vs. Vermont maple syrup contest. That sounds interesting! Jeff thought I was NUTS when I bought a half-gallon of the good stuff, and then he thought I was DOUBLE NUTS when he saw how much it cost. BUT...when he TASTED it, there was no complaining at all! I actually don't like syrup on my pancakes much, but if we have the good stuff, bring it on! Heck, I make pancakes sometimes just so that I can have an excuse to eat the Vt. syrup!

We might have to have a sneaky Rogue get some of this Canadian syrup over the border to see if it stacks up (har har) to the Vermont syrup!

Lori

That could be a very sticky situation if the Rogue gets caught...better be a Rogue up to the task!

I'm sure Lady Myke and I can sneak some in our luggage. Just so long as it's not stopped at the border.

Guard - "Alright - what's this?"
me - "It's real Canadian Maple Syrup, Sir."
Guard - "Just as I thought! This stuff is highly addictive, and listed under the controlled substances act of 1978. I'm afraid I'm going to have to confiscate these bottles."
me - "NoooooooOOOoooooo! Not my Syruuuuuuuuuuuup!"
Guard - "Hey, you got any of those little maple sugar candies? I love those Those are considered contraband, , too!"

(sigh)

They make a hickory syrup here that is really excellent as well.
A slightly different taste, but I often like it better!
Really expensive, though =(

Too bad none of the convention hotels come with kitchen-suites. Wouldn't be hard to mix up a mess of pancake batter as long as there was a stove somewhere to cook it.
