J.K. Rowling has brought much joy to readers around the world by announcing the release date for book 7. It will be released on Saturday, July 21st. I'm so excited at this news! It gives me something else to look forward to. It's kind of sad also, since it's the last book. I do wish that she would release a copy of Hogwarts: A History. That book is refered to so much in the series. Kim

I read on my Wii news that Harry (Radcliffe) is wanting to break out of the Harry Potter persona by portraying the horse fixated stablehand in the play Equus in London. Apparently the role requires a mature mind, and sans clothing at some points....

Noel of Clan Smakdown With left hand firmly covering my eyes, a peal of thunder clapped from my wand as arcs of lightning cascade blindly from the tip. I peek to see the Medusa dead from the blast slowly turning to dust herself.

Harry will turn 17 at the beginning of this book. 17 is the age when one becomes an adult in the eyes of the wizarding world. I think Hagrid is a good possibility. Nobody is mentioning Peter Petigrew as someone who might die. He still owes Harry a lifedebt that he has yet to repay. I also think Snape is an excellent candidate for death. Kim

I'm a Snape fan, myself. Hope he's not the one who bites it. I don't think it'll be Harry, Hermione, or Ron, either. My money is on Ron's Mom or Dad.
