Why do you think the new video is bad?

Kim

Hmm... well, I look tired, the dark shirt doesn't help, the greenscreen doesn't have the same feel as the live Ops room, and they gutted the whole middle part of the talk. Its only like 55 seconds long vs. 2 mins for the first one. It was the coolest part too; about this new crater we discovered on Titan that is large enough to swallow Los Angeles.

And my hair is messy. =^P

Aside from that, its great. ;)

Why did they take the middle part of the talk out? Do we need to send letters to NASA asking them to give you creative control over these videos? =D

Kim

Actually, they do give me pretty good creative control. :| I did research and I wrote the script. The problem was that I was talking about something that wasn't quite released to the public yet.

I was talking about a 100-mile wide crater on Titan that the RADAR team now thinks "may be a crater".

photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/catalog/PIA09175

Personally, I thought it looked like a crater and got confirmation from more than one person but the RADAR team boss didn't want to be so definitive. Scientists will never commit to anything. :P
