I dunno that the TT CCG ever counted as cool. Its demise was sorta inevitable.

On the flip side, I'm shocked that zatch bell, the flipbook ccg is apparently going strong from what I heard at socal. I thought that one would have tanked in no time. Maybe that's the reward for trying something new and innovative.

BTW, anyone know anything about the stargate CCG just released? I didn't get a chance to demo it at socal and I'm tempted to buy into a booster box or two.

Whoa. Obviously we're no longer talking about CCGs. I must've missed the turnoff somewhere.

TT CCG was cool - mainly because I worked with the designers to proof the cards and playtest.

The mechanics I thought were pretty sound - not fantastic or anything but sound. Pretty straight forward like WOW CCG.

As for Zatch - I guess it is still going - but you sure don't see anyone playing it. You would think if the Naruto tournaments taught BanDai anything - maybe they learned that if you want a game to stick around - have real tournaments with prizes etc.

I can't help but think UDE has figured this out in a BIG way - why aren't others? (OK - gee Star Wars CCG and Lord of the Rings had some cool tournaments back in the day...)

I am still holding my "probably illegal now" decks of Doomtown together. Since I withdrew from any CCG gaming beyond the rare play Magic:TG when I get to visit some friends, I have had no desire to play competitively anymore.

I have to admit - the WOW Onxyia tourney was FUN - but I am still such a noob at that game!

I need for my kids to hit 10ish so I can drag them into it (well moreso than just playing WAR with the cards...I tell ya my kids can find a way to play WAR with VS cards, Yugi-O, you name it they can WAR with them.)

(Sorry tons of mis-spellings...)

Hehe I barely remember the rules now (an acquaintance actually taught me wrong rules) but if you will be around come GenCon 2007 Indy. The Maze Rats may want to tussle with them Dogs.
