OK it has been done before - but I am bored this AM at work and can't think of anything but TD.

So here goes - apologies in advance...hehehe

Twas the day before my drive to GenCon when all through my head...
Visions of game playing and never going to bed.

My trunk was not packed and I did not care
In hopes that a helpful gremlin would soon be there.

The card games and boardgames were all nestled snug in their boxes
Not a die was rattling lest I sound like a herd of oxes.

And mama left with the kids and I in my hay-day
had just said our goodbyes I'M OUTTA HERE BABY

When out on the horizon there arose such a sight
I sprang from the bed to realize it was still night.

Away to my game closet I flew like a flash
Tore open the token cases to be sure of my stash.

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear
three dozen Masterwork Spears (yes Water and INCOG - this is just a dream)

With a little rub to my face and eyes
I knew in a moment there was no surprise

To the tip of my tongue to the end of the hall
I started to say something when I heard nature call.

And then, in a twinkling (you thought I would say something else...???) I heard on the roof
The pitter patter of rain and my dream went poof.

I decided to dress in my costume best
I knew this night would bring no more rest.

As I sat in my cloak, and tunic and boots
I knew that ahead lie fun and games from my childhood roots.

I jumped in my car and decided to go
there was no stopping me it was time for the show.

I had to exclaim as I drove out of sight eating a Funyon,
Happy GenCon to all, and to all a GREAT TRUE DUNGEON.

Yeah Gary, don't you feel a little guilty being able to go to GenCon twice a year?
