I picked up a still boxed IBM/Lenovo 17" LCD monitor on Friday via Craigslist.  A guy got a new system and wanted to keep his old CRT monitor (go figure).  With this monitor I now have a 3 monitor system -- 2 17" LCDs and 1 17" CRT.<br /><br />Hmmm, could I get a forth monitor on my desk....?

you could suspend several from the ceiling.....

when I get bored I just get both computers going in the same chat room and really bug every one...since I'm a mod they can't kick me out....LOL

Technically you can have one computer use two screens (maybe more...)<br /><br />I use a split screen thing at work - Work stuff on CRT monitor - and TD on my laptop screen!

<br /><br />Nope, just one computer.  I do web development during the day and its much nicer with multiple monitors.<br /><br />1 screen for my code editor<br />1 screen for my browser to see results of changes in code (and to read this forum)<br />1 screen for my email, IM and RSS readers to keep track of work and fun stuff

I did not know you could hook up 3 monitors to 1 PC!! That's amazing. And you can have different things on the screens? Only one kepboard<br />(I'm not as big a geek as I thought, cool.  =) )

I've only ever see two hooked up - I will have to experiment with the settings and see if it is worth bringing back my CRT monitor from the garage...

A lot of my coworkers are allowed to bring in a 2nd monitor from home and they do exactly as Doug does.  They develop on one screen, while email is on the other.  Very time saving if you ask me.  Less time alt-tabbing :D
