TOPIC: Treasure Quest Live Dungeon Challenge

Ran across this event today -- it takes place at MACE 2006 at the Radisson Hotel in High Point, NC (November 10-12, 2006). The link to the description didn't work for me too but I did find it by browsing the schedule.<br /><br />Personally, I would be very interested in seeing how they handle certain things that TD struggles with.  <br /><br />Here it is:<br /><br />Treasure Quest Live Dungeon Challenge<br />Assault on the Temple of Vecna!!<br /><br />Day: Friday · Time: 11:00 PM - 01:00 AM In Provincial Room B<br /><br />GM: Sam Hinton<br /><br />Game Type: Live Action<br /><br />Event Type: Open-Play<br /><br />Notes:: There is a fee to this game. <br />Assault on the Temple of Vecna!! <br /><br />You have been recruited by the good folks and priests of Reedy River to cast out the vile worshipers of Vecna who recently have come out of hiding to assault and maim unsuspecting citizens. Each of their victims are left for dead after removing their left hand and left eye, the very mark of Vecna himself! The robberies are not random however, it seems the victims are usually wealthy merchants and the constable suspects they are building up wealth to build another army for Vecna! <br /><br />Although unwilling to help further, a local band of wood elves tracked the Vecna bandit priests back to the hidden temple, deep in the jungle of Mirewood swamp. Although the bandit priests are few in number, they have been in hiding for years and the temple is expected to be full of traps and dangers. Your wood elf guides have dispatched the guards outside of the temple and so your adventure starts in the hallway just beyond those doors. Good luck and good hunting!! <br /><br /><br />Treasure Quest Live Dungeon Challenge: A live action challenge, where gamers actually walk through and solve puzzles and engage in “combat” in a life-sized dungeon setting!!! I'd be curious to see what it's like and just how closely it's like True Dungeon.  Does TD hold the rights to anything that they could be infringing upon?<br /><br />Kim

It reminds me of an idea to borrow the walls and have a SAW-esque live action horror adventure.....If I can get a good script  I'll reall look into it  Plus the timing is gonna be wierd.

Is there anyone on here that lives in North Carolina that might be able to do some "research" on this Live Dungeon and post a report?  That would be cool.  :cool:

Hmmm, it would be intereseting to see what they do differently. Road trip perhaps... <br /><br />It looks like they are also running them in 2-hour blocks, 10 persons per party, $10 per person.
