Getting rid of patterns, 17 years 7 months ago #1

Hey Y'all,

If any of you sew please feel free to claim patterns.
I'm looking to either give away or these patterns will just get tossed or used as fire starter.
Patterns vary from skirts, to costume stuff, and there is even a jointed teddy bear pattern that I will never get around to using. And some were got for making stuff for a friend whos no longer in my life and I'm tired of holding on to them.
Some of these may be cut Most probably aren't though.

So without further ado:

Simplicity 5351 size range (4-10) Skirt pattern

McCalls 3010 size range (6-10) Evening dress

McCalls 4296 size range (4-10) Evening dress

McCalls 3861 size range (8-14) Costume/Gown

Simplicity 5302 Teddy bears

Butterick 4049 size range (18-22) Victorian blouse

simplicity 5457 size range (6-12) Victorian gown

Butterick 3012 size range (6-10) Victorian gown
Butterick 3012 size range (12-16) Victorian gown

Simplicity 5905 size range (6-12) victorian underlayers

Some patterns I haven't bothered to list, I just tossed them because they were cut out a certain size so I figured it wasn't worth bothering trying to find a person for it.
So please let me know if anyone is interested. Can post or email pattern sleeve pics if want to see what it looks like. Some may be OoP(Out of Print).
Please, help save me from my clutter! *little laugh*
I don't know if my sister would be interested in any of these. I am forwarding the link to her. Thanks :)

The only problem I would have DD would be I would just be adding to my clutter. And I need to move in two months! Haha! Still what I might do is ask for the pictures on the patterns and then decide because some styles just don't suit me. Giggle. If you need my email address I can PM you if you want. Otherwise if thats too much work keep the teddy bear pattern for next Gencon and Il get it from you then. Of course most of the sizes are way too small for me anyways and it'll be years before my daughter could use them. Good luck unloading them =)

Lady Myke,

PM your addy and I'll email you pattern sleeve pics. The Evening gowns have a renaissance look to them or victorian. But I will never use them.
I found a home for four of the patterns, and I updated the list above so its current to what I'm still looking to find a home for.
And I shall set the teddy bear pattern aside for you if you wish.
If I send something to Raven before then, shall I send it along with and you can get it from her?
I'll take the Butterick 4049 victorian blouse and the teddy bear one. Yes if you send stuff to Raven I will be able to pick it up from her very easily. We usually see each other every week. The other patterns I won't worry about because they are not in any size that I can use for anyone I know (except for maybe Raven). I will still send you my address anyways. =)

(sigh) Some day I'm gonna have to learn to sew using a proper pattern, instead of just winging it.

As for sending patterns for Myke via me, I'm cool with that. I'm hoping to make an order from Pixie Stitch before the year is out, but I may wait 'til after SoCal is over. That way I won't be overtaxing your time, Pixie!

Right now the projects I have are things I want to make for people. Les, told me to hold off on loaner garb so I can take it easy before the con. And there will be less need for the stuff at socal anyways. Although that one doublet did turn out mighty sharp looking!
Feel free to let me know if there is anything you'd like me to make and I'll put it in my to do list. I'm going to have a long weekend at home, and without anyone home who can drive I suspect it'll be a weekend of just me and the girls, Maura, Sky, and Gigi. Yes my sewing machines are named, my digicam too for photographing my projects.
So please toss stuff on my list, keep me busy, its how I stay sane. *little laugh* Yeah right, like I'm sane. *giggles*

I don't suffer from insanity,. . . oh no, I enjoy it!

Speaking of patterns and sewing on the fly........before Indy, I was looking for info on style of dress and ran across this site. I thought I was interesting. Right down your alley, DD. How'd you like to take a crack at sewing that?

www.reconstructinghistory.com/irish/moy.html

Lady Myke,

Try pestering Raven next week. I am sending her something in the mail tomorrow, w/ it I'll send your patterns. It'll be the slow way, air mail I believe. So maybe late next week she'll have them for you to pick up.

Thank You DD, Raven and I have already discussed things and I'll get the patterns from her when they arrive. Thank you for sending them I will do what I can to make sure they get used. Even if it's just to inspire ideas. Hehehe.
I so hope my new place has room for a sewing corner. Thanks again DD happy sewing.
If it is even only of use for inspiration that is more than enough for me.

Am hoping to drop everything off in the mail later this afternoon. Just got back from cleaning my grandparents house. I need to jump in the shower and get ready for a meeting, I gotta get everything all packaged up. Hopefully I'll be able to drop them off at the post office on my way out. Otherwise it will be set to mail afterwards. Hopefully Raven will like the little thing I'm sending her. :)
