I know this will trigger some of you and will make others lifelong anti-UTC fans, however those who know me best know how important this election is to me, my family, my friends, and in my opinion, where we are headed as a country, for better or worse. The main cause of this is my fear of the former President taking office again in his current state and what could come from his second term. I am happy to get into details for any who would like to discuss, but instead let me get to my point:

Between now and Election Day (November 5th), every sale made directly with me or through my website (utakustradecaravan.com) will go directly into donations to support democratic efforts across the country to help elect Kamala Harris and more importantly, keep Trump out.

I’ll break it down the following way:

The first $10,000 in sales will 100% go to donations
The second $10,000 in sales will have 50% (or more) go to donations
Every other dollar beyond $20,000 will have (33% (or more) go to donations

And yes, by sale I mean every dollar, not just the profit/proceeds so every penny will help.

I understand for many the goal is to keep politics out of our games and out of our diversions from real life, if only for a minute. If I did not feel as strongly about my fears for this election, I would honor that without question. But I care too much for our country and fear too much for the basic rights that may be stripped from all of us, especially for the individuals that the gaming culture embraces without question, to just sit on the sidelines.

The funds I will be donating to can be found here ( votesaveamerica.com/donate/#vsa-states ) and this is an organization I also volunteered for in the 2020 election running the phone bank in my home state of Wisconsin with the Wisdem organization and I trust them entirely.

And finally, whether you agree with me or not, I highly encourage everyone to vote in this next election. Even if you think the Presidential election has no impact on your life or your vote doesn’t matter, there are a ton of state and local items on your ballot that will impact you directly in a multitude of ways. Politics affect people and visibility is good. Folks can just not click this if they aren't interested. It's that easy.

I do understand if you choose not to engage in this and if you make personal choices that you feel are best. I also thank those that have sent me messages of disagreement as although we may not agree politically, every note was in the spirit of a dialogue and I have appreciated them.

And I assure you, we are keeping an eye on this thread.

Shutting down threads with polite discourse would not help the game, in my opinion.

It's not the discourse that bothers me (it does) as much as using money from token sales for political reasons. I've purchased tokens from Utaku before but won't again unless politics is removed from token sales, even by private individuals.
