TOPIC: TOMB: True Dungeon-like experience in Boston!

TOMB: True Dungeon-like experience in Boston! 17 years 7 months ago #1

Okay, it is not everything that True Dungeon is, BUT... I had a BLAST tonight!

For me, I go to True Dungeon to solve the puzzles, and this place was a dream come true to tide me over until November.

It shows the enormous potential for a permanent True Dungeon!!!

http://5-wits.com/home.htm

My wife, and her parents were the only folks there! It was private, and just completely so much fun! Just the 4 of us in the rooms solving really challenging puzzles - and we made it out alive!!! We had a guide, similar to our DM's, but he was basically an NPC that just walked along with us, and we had little interaction with him. Great guy - Matt Seavers was his name.

If you are in Boston, or close to Boston, you have to check this out. It was a blast!!!

Matthew

That looks pretty cool. I've got some family connections to Boston, I'll try to check that out next time I'm around.

Black,
If you are referring to simply storage space, they have a warehouse relatively local to where they are.
If you mean for set up and operations outside of the con, TD has an exclusive contract with GenCon.
If you mean something else, I dunno and will be quiet.

That one picture of the person serving pizza in the explorer outfit makes it look like a chuck e cheese.

I had been thinking operation - wise.......so thank's for the heads up to avoid trouble.....What about renting the walls and props to a group that already did a haunted house? Just an idea for some revenue beyond Gen-Con.

Jeff has talked about doing a haunted house, but one of the detractors was the abuse the walls and props would take with the amount of people going through. Anything is possible though.
depending on the damage....some nicks and cuts, could be painted, and give the walls a nice worn feel. I can see where it could easily be some hefty damage though. Perhaps a trade is in order? If we show our walls to some of the haunted house people, we could offer to train their folks, on the finer points, for a small fee? We'll end up doing more walls, and plenty more props in the years to come. Might even be able to sell walls / props on the net.
