TOPIC: Rainbow Sprinkle D20 I made during VTD today!

I made this during our epic lvl VTD run and just wanted to share!




* This was just a try piece to experiment with some things
* Yes, those are real sprinkles!
* It is actually hollow with sparkly floaties inside, but its hard to see...will fix for next time!

How did you make that? Injection molding, resin casting, 3d printing?

Neat! I'm tempted to take a bite out of it, though.

@Druegar -- Resin Casting! Using UV resin so I could make it hollow. Normally I use a long cure resin, but one of the experiments with this piece was specifically trying to make it hollow so I could fill it with liquid and glitter...sadly the swirlies are hard to see, so I'll do darker glitter next time!

Is it possible to polish it to make the sprinkles more visible? Aso, are you using a vacuum pot to help with air bubbles in the resin?

Yeah! For sure! This was an experimental piece, so I didn't go all the way through with the finishing steps that I would if I was going to sell it. And I normally use a pressure pot, (I don't have a vacuum chamber) but since I wanted to make this one hollow, I couldn't put it in my pp. I also used UV resin since I wasn't using the pp anyway and that way I could essentially rapid prototype.

Ohhh! those are so pretty!! Ty so much for compliment too! I've never actually sold any of my work yet, though I want to! So to hear that is very encouraging! <3
