First official trailer was just released at Cinemacon this week. No video to share yet. But it should be very soon.

Of interest from those there who saw the first trailer, was the first shown monster, a displacer beast.

First official trailer will be released next week. It will debut at the SDCC. This is the movies booth they are using there.

So far Minsc considers his most notable experience in the world abroad, to be the acquisition of his animal companion 'Boo', a creature that he claims is a miniature giant space hamster. Apparently such things do exist in the Realms, but Minsc has surely taken too many blows to the head.

While Minsc believes that Boo is a miniature giant space hamster, you are rather certain that the tiny rodent is just a normal hamster.

Yeah, that trailer has me substantially surprised. It looks like it could be awesome! March is a bit of a bummer for release date, though, I'd love to catch it at Gen Con.

I really liked the light hearted nature of the trailer and the clear D&D references of the mimic, owlbear, etc.

While my expectations are low, it looks like we will get something entertaining and that will be good enough for me.

One of a couple movie posters. This one features the monsters of the movie. We've seen the Owl Bear, Mimic, Displacer Beast and a glimpse of the Gelatinous Cube.

New in the poster is the Intellect devourer and what ever those tentacles are from.

SDCC is offering for $35 a figure of the Gelatinous Cube with removeable items. All 5 heros of the move can be placed inside the cube.

That intellect devourer art was ripped from a Pathfinder book, so save those posters in case Paizo issues a C&D on them

This is exactly my take. I'm suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper concerned.

I did the promo event at GenCon. It was pretty fun!

I would add pics from the event, but don't know how.

Bit of an update

Two bits of info has come out from Comicon.

1st. A comic bit of the party investigate a graveyard and use Speak with the Dead to find a a magical helmet.

As old rules, ask 5 questions, then the dead return to rest. Imagine the ease of accidentally asking a question by mistake, or wording the question wrong.

2. A massive cameo Easter egg in the Thieves Maze battle. It's a battle between the hero's of the movie and two other groups. It's not very long, but clearly one group of 6 adventurers 30 years older from the last time any of us has seen them on the screen, I believe from the 1980's. Hint hint.
