Hey guys, just as a reminder when you send in your activity for the day I need to know the number of active minutes. If you tell me how many miles you actually went that doesn't help the tracking. If you give me a number of hours I'm going to have to assume you went exactly that number of minutes, IE 3 hours is 180 minutes. You can report either through PM or emailing me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Sorry - I sent in a report for today exercise of X units = X miles. I will be sure to make sure I include minutes as well (X units = X journey miles = 10X minutes).

I encourage people to run or walk with a plastic bag and pick up discarded masks. I have seen reports that animals are getting caught up and even strangled by the straps.

I’ve picked up seven so far, and only started doing this a few days ago.

I feel like if I joined it would be cheating because i teach karate for 3 hours a night and i teach 5 days a week.

Just because you're the most active doesn't mean it's cheating....

Everyone's situation is different. If it motivates you to be more active, do it. I don't look at this like I'm trying to "beat" anyone. I'll just take anything that motivates me in the right direction.

Or you could join and not compete for prizes.

To me it comes down to your motivation. If you want to join because you want to get more active and in better shape, regardless of your current activity level, then you're more than welcome. If you want to join because your current activity level is high enough that you'll have a good chance of winning and you just want an easy prize then please don't join. The point of this competition isn't really the prize, it's for all of us to get healthier.

And as someone else said, if you feel bad about it you can always compete without prizes just for the fun and community of it.

As a heads up, depending on what I have going on during any given day I may or may not respond to your messages about time. I am tracking it though, and you can see on the Sheets document where everything is. Please ping me again if you check it and I'm missing anything.

On an unrelated side note, while this isn't a weight loss competition (that's coming possibly next week, if a PM asking me if I was ok with a parallel fitnessy competition being run), I am hoping to lose weight with this, and I'm sure others are too. I added my weigh in to page 2 of the sheet, and will be weighing myself weekly. If anyone else wants to do the same for community motivation/accountability please let me know and I'll add you to it. If you'd rather not that's also 100% fine.
