My "healing thoughts" are yours. I wish you, your mom, and your whole family the best.

I'll add you and yours to my prayers Heidi.  I am going through a difficult time myself so I understand your concerns.  I just keep telling myself to thhink positive and things will get better.  So take care of yourself and your mom and know you have friends beside you.  All the way.  Here's a sympathy hug........(left blank so it can be as long as you need it)

Mom got to go home from the hospital today. She seems to be fully recovered, but is still really tired. They are pretty sure it was a TIA, which is a very minor stroke. But symptoms of a TIA usually only last a few minutes, so it is a little concerning that she was unconcious for at least 2 hours. The doctor said that about 30% of people who experience a TIA have more, with some escalating to a "true" stroke. Hopefully, she won't have another one. <br /><br />Thanks again for all your kind words and prayers.

Hey Gang,<br /><br />I just got a call from our dear Heidi, who is in route to the hospital again with her mom. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. And if you can't seem to get a hold of her today you know why.<br />She says they don't think its really serious, but still could use the support. Its a really stressful time right now.<br />*hugs* Thanks y'all.

Special thanks to DD for posting for me. And thanks to everyone else for their prayers and good thoughts. <br /><br />Mom is resting comfortably at the hospital. She never lost consciousness this time, but did have the speech problems again. It took a little over 1/2 hour for her speech to get back to normal. They did another MRI, and an EEG. They have decided to put her on anti-seizure medication, and she should get to come home tomorrow. Hopefully, the medicine will prevent any re-occurrences. <br />

What seizure medication are they placing her on?
