TOPIC: Surprised at post office!

Just tried to mail a package thanks to a token sale and the USPS wouldn’t offer insurance on it! I can understand that the delivery date can’t be guaranteed because of the current situation (seeing as it’s going overseas) but no insurance? Tried asking a couple different people and even though I said I’d take it back and hold off on shipping it, they printed the labels anyway and went through with it. The person at the counter said that that if it’s lost in transit, that they could “open an investigation”. I made sure to take a few pictures of the package with labels and such attached before they took it away for my records.

Has anyone else had this kind of experience when they’ve shipped tokens overseas, or is this a one-off?

I just shipped a flat rate package into Jeff, this last Friday. They are REQUIRED to ask if you want additional insurance.

Replying to this: yes, the package made it safely to its destination! Just took a bit extra time given the circumstances.
