I think you mean a different token.
tokendb.com/token/charm-of-the-faithful/

I swear I typed Charm of lamentation...

Sorry I misrepresented that. I now have a build with -1 hp, but didn't have the necessary tokens to pull that off last year. So it is something to still potentially try in the future.

Yeah, but the only problem with Charm of Lamentation is "cannot be raised". So you really only get to die once.

Now, Charm of the Faithful could be fun if you equp a build with -1 hp in the coaching room. You start off dead. Then comes another player with Charm of the Faithful and transfers 3 hp to you before the adventure and suddenly you're alive.

A couple other comments about going into a run with less than 10 hp. Not advisable unless you know the answers to all the puzzles. You can die many times in a puzzle room just attempting to find a solution. At least in combat you get saving throws or can be guarded by a paladin until you're ready to cut yourself. Also, this is not something I'm likely to do as often in the future. I just happened to have a large cache of mystic mushrooms, potions of death's door and potion revival root. You can easily add $40+ to the cost of each run in which you try to do this. Rather than sell, I just burned through about half of my cache. It was worth the fun at the time.

i would loved to have seen the coaches face when they figured out you were at negative 1 HP. How did they try to tell you?

Equip the Whole party with soul leech armor then?

That would be interesting. Of course it can only be worn by the fighter, dwarf fighter and cleric. And can only be used once per room. But it would be kind of cool. It doesn't specify combat, so it could even work in a puzzle room.

Soul stain armor has the same effect and can be worn by almost everyone.

Please bring that build to my coaching room. I always tell people I have never killed anyone in coaching. Time to change my spiel.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

My favorite token has changed over the years. Right now, the one that holds that title is this one...

Because last year The Blue Brotherhood and Raven smoked a dungeon on NIGHTMARE without so much as a scratch using only this token as a weapon. "Turkey! Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah-nah!"

+2 Light Crossbow of Frost

Usable by monk. Not particular powerful but UR level numbers. I like ranged builds, especially ones that can ignore Strength.

I actually got a +2 Keen Slayer long before this and, yet, am far more interested in running the crossbow, including in builds that could run the Keen Slayer, as it seems more balanced for the level of play that interests me the most.

Also a sign of how much I've moved away from a wizarding focus.

I think the Monks Belt should be my favorite, it was favorably priced and solidified my survivability before I really got into tokens. I think it was my first token purchase actually. Although it is no longer needed I still use it and our Paladin is annoyed that someone else occasionally has a higher defense. I believe his great sword is turning into an avenger and I’ll just have to find a better belt starting this year.

Ha! I had no idea this token even existed until the post!
