Very tongue-in-cheek of course, but I figured we're all gamers... we could bash out a set of rules for the next time Jeff & co. (or us forumites playing along at home!) need to get very sloshed during Token Development season.

The Token Development Drinking Game!

1) Get yourself a big bottle of your favorite poison.

2) Take a drink every time:

* You see "Power Creep!" with the exclamation mark! at the end!
* Someone says "I'd rather we just had a straight up reprint of _______"
* Someone tries to make their point by saying "Well, that's $250 I'll save by not getting this PYP!"
* Jeff's name is used as a trump card in someone's argument (ie: "Well, Jeff can decide if he thinks this is a good idea.")
* Anyone who plays Monk asks if this new weapon can be FoB compatible.
* A person posts the same question across multiple threads
* Anytime the quote level gets more than 10 deep.
* "Agree to Disagree" comes up
* When someone starts their post with "I couldn't be bothered to read the previous X pages..." (Hey, I get ya.)
* When Druegar crushes someone's dreams.
* Drink TWICE if it was your dream he crushed.
* When someone writes a thesis-level post with statistics and/or graphs trying to support their position.
* Someone says, "Spellcasters need some love too" or "What about some love for $Class?" (the love is important here. Clearly.
* Character Card re-design plans are referenced to support/negate the proposed power level of a token.
* "There's already too many STR boosting tokens!"
* Someone argues that X ability isn't as good as Y ability or never comes up in the dungeon (ie, turn undead / favoured enemy / Poison Immunity)
* Laz says Lori is NOT awesome.
*
*
*

3) See how far you can get reading the Token Dev threads before your eyes cross and/or you fall out of your chair.

4) No. Do not reply to the thread while drunk. Please. No.

5) Go drink some water. Good. Now drink some more. More than that. Excellent. Now go to bed. It's past 1 am.

Good Luck!

Well, this is definitely a way to get TD more exposure.

I am pretty sure just with the already given lists a person couldn’t get through a single thread!

Is the quote level of 10 deep one time only per topic, or for every post where the quote level is more than 10 deep?

If it's the latter... I'm not even sure you could survive past page 5 in most of the threads

Ha! Pretty sure I’ve done all of those things!

So what happens if someone can manage to squeeze them all into a single reply?

When the quote level gets that deep. Subsequent increases (to the same thread) wouldn't count. Because, yeah, you'd be calling 911 by pg 5!

Prepare for thread necro, either for recipes or next year's development
