TOPIC: Goodbye, Steve-O

Goodbye, Steve-O 17 years 7 months ago #1

For any and all who care, a good man has passed. Steve Irwin, the Croc Hunter, was killed by a stingray stabbing him through the heart while diving and filming his next documentary.

animal.discovery.com/fansites/crochunter/steve/statement.html?clik=netmain_feat1

That's the official Discovery Channel News site about it.

Another hero of mine I'll not get to meet.

Raise a toast to 'im and send some good vibes out to Terri, Bindy, baby Bob, and the rest at Australia Zoo...man and critter alike.

I'm going off to have a rather large drink now.
I am also having a pint or several... despite the controversial side of Steve Irwin's personality, he was an outspoken conservationist and environmentalist and he will be missed.
Legally... its questionable. Morally... its disgusting. Personally... I *like* it.

I don't like beer, but in honor of Steve, I think I'll go buy a can of Foster's.

Good on ya mate. You'll be missed.

Sad to hear of this news as well. He must have tried to peeve off the Stingray per the Southpark episode.
Noel
of Clan Smakdown

With left hand firmly covering my eyes, a peal of thunder clapped from my wand as arcs of lightning cascade blindly from the tip. I peek to see the Medusa dead from the blast slowly turning to dust herself.

Steve Irwin was awesome and I am sad to see him leave us at such a young age. His enthusiasim and love what he did was infectious and will be missed.

I knew he wouldn't die of old age...unless something got him when he was 70...

But I also figured something snakelike with fangs.

The world truly lost great person and animal advocate. It is just surreal when they talk about how rare it is for someone to die from a stingray attack.

I'm sure that in the end he died the way he would have wanted. Filthy rich.
