Well, technically they aren't aware that any time has passed. And the movie starts (as I understand from the trailer and the few spoilers) with Happy taking Peter and May home from the funeral, and then skips forward a while.

They aren't aware that time has passed? In Endgame, Peter seemed to indicate that he was aware. Though maybe that was just because Strange told him... Can't remember what he said exactly.

Nope. He says the Strange told him it was five years later (since Strange had already seen the future), but that he thought he had just passed out.

I thought the same thing but also how are they going to feed the 3.5 Billion people that just came back? The plot holes were very jarring it took me out of the film. There would be riots and political turmoil. The movie was not very good when you think about it. It has some cool scenes and nice visuals but too many people are riding the hype train and are looking past the plot, it's a mess. IW was so good this was a ho-hum head scratcher.

also the Rat is Mankind's MVP. Was he part of Strange's master plan?

With all the wheat, rice, apples cows, goats, chickens that just came back, in addition to the surplus grown in the last five years because there wasn't any need to completely cut production in half.

Remember, the snap was half of all living things, not just sentient beings.

I felt the same way. Outside of the visuals the move was a mess and yea, the hype train is cruising right along. And watched the new spider man trailer and read up on it. Lots of BS to keep the cash grab going.
The snap tearing the universe in half and now there are multiple universes? Multiple times, space time all screwed up.....it's the only possible twist they can spin in order to keep rolling out more movies.

It is a very weird way to possibly connect the X-men universe.

Yep. Weird but I'm thinking they'll go for it. Would be interesting to see the spin.

It wasnt the snap, it was the time travel. Since they cant change their own past, whenever they went 'back in time', that became a new universe, with differences branching from their actions. Even if everything started out with the single MCU, no multiverse, as soon as they went back and created those other universes, that set off a chain reaction, since some of those universes will lead to similar time travel events, creating more and more universes --> multiverse.

I thought it would have been amusing (though, i didnt actually expect it), if the final snap and whatever fix/resolution to dark phoenix smashed those 2 universes together. But the multiverse is a good alternative.

And if your big complaint about endgame is that there will be derious consequences of bringing back half of all life after 5 years...well, lets wait and see if there are.

As for mysterio being from another universe...im not buying yet. It's mysterio, why are you believing his story? My guess is that he is faking it for some reason, but this movie will introduce the idea of the multiverse to fans not already familiar (without throwing them into it)....
WAIT, sorry, i just realized; the spiderman contract is up with marvel after this movie, but sony still has tom holland on contract for another movie. Marvel is going to end with spiderman stuck in another universe. If sony keeps him for their own movies (connecting to venom and such in an attempt to legitimize their movies as part of the MCU), theirs are clearly seperate from the main MCU by being an alt universe. But if sony will extend the contract, someone from the main MCU can bring him back.
this is not a signature.

First, I loved Endgame.

But yes, it left us with a horrible mess. Half of everything being gone for five years is the kind of thing you can't just sweep under a carpet. Families were torn apart. How many people would have remarried? Moved? How many would have been depressed enough to commit suicide? We saw Cap trying to deal with some of the affected and that would just have been the tip of the iceberg. How many companies would have collapsed and people come back to no job? Yeah, maybe the sources of food came back, but processing and distribution infrastructures need to ramp up again. It will take time. And this is just imagining how things would be impacted in the US. What about other less developed countries? It is a terrible mess and if they ignore the consequences, it will diminish the epicness of Endgame in a major way. I'm sure there are 1000 other consequences I haven't mentioned.

And that's not counting the timeline/multiverse doors they've opened. Yeah, it creates storyline opportunities and a lot of headscratching continuity issues.
