Facilitate trading?

Idea exchange?

Maybe play some other games?

You needed to add another question "All the above?"

We get together to BS, play games, trade tokens, plan for the next TD event! And generally just make new friends.

I've met up with Ed and the IL group several times. Mostly it is the forums IRL :) We chat about TD over lunch or dinner, and the occasional trade.
Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)

For half a second there I read "trade" as "tirade."

Yep, just like the forums. ;)
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Sounds like your nominating your self as Mid-Atlantic coordinator!

All the coordinators should be named Ed.

Note: I now plan to start calling jedibcg "Ed"

I volunteer to be the "ED, Canada" coordinator if there's enough people from EDmonton Canada to coordinate.

Unfortunately, I think that number is pretty much me, and my local friends.

Skype.

I play D&D with my childhood friends and a Canadian. It can be done so you are not so "Ronrey". Plus we love Canadians, I heard you have Unicorns as pets.

Checking in from the middle of the mitten. We have a few locals on here and few more within an hour or so's drive. Boilerplate, Dennis Burdick, and I are all from the Lansing area. I know the Hawk Fingle was in Detroit but I'm not sure if he' still there. It would be awesome to have a Michigan meetup.

I think this is an awesome thread.

If you want to come down to Ontario sometime there are a bunch of us in the GTA. Just be sure to bring extra unicorn spray if you come in the summer, they get kinda thick this close to the great lakes.

I always pack unicorn spray, tho I think mine might be expired.
Out here we use a lot more Werewolf Repellant, and we buy that in 6-packs from Costco.

(FunFact, Jack: It's true some Canadians keep Unicorns for pets, but most of the wild ones are just pests. Kinda like pet skunks. Tho... up in the territories, they've got aquatic unicorns called "Narwhals" and those are wicked cool.)

Picc, for reference: I am closer to friends in the US who play TD than I am to friends in the GTA.
It's only ~24hours on the road for me to drive to.... say... LA.
It takes closer to 36h to get to TO.

My friends dog got sprayed by one last summer, were still finding glitter in her fur.

Oh sure I get it, go hang out with your cool friends in LA ;) We'll just be up here driving back the snow leopards without you then...

I'm out in amish country in NE Ohio. I know Brad M is close enough, don't know about others unless i consider Columbus local.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven
