I ran across a "brand new" complete in the box Texas Instruments 994A computer at a local shop yesterday and the lady really did not have any idea what she had. Come to think about it neither do I. She saw I was in my son's car with the "web designer" sign on the side because I was on the way to the auto parts store to get parts for my car and she thought I may want it for parts.
It has no games with it but being in "new" condition I thought it may have some value. Anyone have any ideas?

We actually had one of these machines in college in 1982, so it is OLD. There are no programs made for it, you had to make your own. It cannot connect to the Internet. I'm guessing the only value it has is to a collector of old computers. Maybe check eBay and see if anyone is selling or buying them. Good luck with your search.

The Ti 994A was one of the first computers I started programming on. I remember how sensitive the tape recorder was to outside sounds when saving programs to cassette... oh the memories...

The ebay item id given is invalid, no result has been sentLooks like it goes for around $50 on eBay, but there may be a more refined market for new in box stuff.

speaking as a video game collector the market for old pcs is small. Old consoles will sell in a few days, a ti computer could take months to find a buyer and is probably worth somewhere around $50-100 even in the box.
