Nooooooooooo!!!
I sure hope they find a way out of their troubles. I absolutely rely on Marsh every Gen Con.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?

I read that if they don't find a buyer / partner in a couple of months, all Marsh stores would close. I hadn't realized they haven't been owned by the Marsh family for about 10 years. That is sad, I've gone to Marsh stores for most of my life (although the one close to my current house closed over 10 years ago).

Just curious why you rely on Marsh? Do they offer something you cannot get elsewhere? Again curious.

I assume he shops at the old O'Malia's that became a Marsh?

I was just back in Indy in April. When I went by Marsh, it seemed like prices were high for most of their food, even taking into account that it's a city grocery store. If another chain took over their locations and had lower prices, I wouldn't mind.

Indy doesn't have a lot of variety for Grocery stores. There are a few small ones here and there. Wal-mart, Meijer, Target have food goods and a handful of Krogers. There is also a Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and Fresh Thyme but they are more specialty.

I rely on it not because it's specifically Marsh, but because of its proximity. Are there other grocery stores as close?

The CVS is the only thing I know of downtown that would be close. I just wasn't certain if it was something at Marsh or if it was just close food stocks.

Hmm maybe I should offer trips to Wal-Mart in my spare time at Gen Con. I have no spare time at Gen Con. Maybe take orders and bring stuff to GC when I come downtown since I am not staying in hotels this year. Hmmm.

Apparently there is (was) a place called Angelo's at 201 S College Ave. Categorized under Independent Grocery Stores. Appears they were still a place as of Oct 2016.

I have offered to bring stuff downtown, within reason, during the con. Nobody has taken me up on that yet. Not sure what would be the easiest to access for people staying downtown, but there is a Wal Mart on south Madison, I believe.

We always bring a ton of food with us to the con, we eat quite a few meals during the convention from that stash of food. :)
