TOPIC: New House

Re: New House 17 years 9 months ago #13

I wish I had never bought a house. I'm too lazy to be a home owner! You can't tell me they can't genetically engineer grass that only grows so high so there is no need to mow it. It's a conspiracy!

Do what my buddy did (admittedly he has more dispoabable income than I though): he's a bachelor, but he's a broker so he makes a lot of money, and figured a house to be a good investment... until he had to mow the yard... two months later he had a 40' x 60' stamped concrete patio put in, and he had landscapers plant & mulch the rest: voila a house with no mowable back yard...

Gah--40' x 60'? I dread to think how much that cost! I was thinking a Japanese rock garden for mine. I currently use a push mover for the 3/4 acre back yard, and when its over ninety degrees out, that just ain't fun.

Don't remind me. We're still in the process of painting and making a few repairs. We will move in the last weekend in July.

Kim

I can't remember the exact amount, but I remember thinking it was fairly obscene, especially when the entire reasoning was that he wouldn't have to mow the lawn anymore... but like I said, he's got quite a bit more disposable income than me...
