TOPIC: New House

New House 17 years 9 months ago #1

Well, it's official. As of yesterday afternoon, my husband and I are new homeowners. I feel like I've signed my life over to Chase Bank. We're very excited though. We're trying to get moved in by August 1st, so at least I'll have about a week to try and relax before Gencon.

Kim

Congratulations Kim & Hubby!
*little laugh* Sorry but don't recall his name. *sheepish grin*
*smiles* That is wonderful news, not the signing life over to bank, to hear that you are now the proud owners of a house.
I wish I had never bought a house. I'm too lazy to be a home owner! You can't tell me they can't genetically engineer grass that only grows so high so there is no need to mow it. It's a conspiracy!

conga rats on the new home. hehe. right now you think you know all the problems that will occur, but that is a myth i tell you. i've had mine for 10 years and its amazing at what never pops into your mind, until it needs attention.

the fake grass idea has always been an idea for me along with fake shrubbery. just hose off the dust and go on.

Actually, I've always thought mowing the grass was the best part. With my job being one where I am dealing with people all the time - a little piece and quiet (except for the huming of the mower) is a pleasant respite.

Congrats on the home.

Yeah, I thought the same thing--that feeling lasted about two weeks.

The one good thing about having a house is that it is (in most cases) a sound investment, while an apartment is merely an expense.
Congrats Kim!!

Too bad some of you guys don't live closer to us. Kevin mows my Mom's grass for his comic book & mini money. He'd probably like a few more customers, since he's recently become addicted to Dreamblade. =D

Our house sits on a lot that is an acre, so Eric is going to become very familar with the operation of a John Deere riding lawnmower.

Kim
