TOPIC: Cosplaying your TD Character

Re: Cosplaying your TD Character 9 years 1 month ago #13

H,m I could go on forever about this topic and costuming in general.

So the first question I always ask is about budget. The more accurate or authentic you want a costume the more time and money it will cost.

The next thing I suggest is a strong initial concept. If you don't know where you're going you'll never get there.

Based on the answers to these you will have options of where to buy or how to make.

Lastly I always suggest folks to consider what they will be doing in costume. This Might cause an necessary alteration to the costume. Removing high heels or adding insoles are just some common examples of this.

Good luck and have fun.

^^ All very good points from Valetutto. I second these!
I make chainmail! Check out www.ArcadianChain.com for chainmail jewelry and accessories, including token holders, dice bags, and d20 keychains.

I've been spending roughly $200 a year on my costume. I've got a cloak, bracers, circlet, boots, and a corset. This year I'm considering getting pauldrons ( www.etsy.com/listing/212958659/womans-tan-leather-pauldrens-in-a-leaf ) but looking at Adeya's links I've easily found about $700 worth of goodies that'd look awesome :)
