Along with the vintage Star Wars toys, I'd go back and buy all the Magic:TG beta boosters I could put my hands on.

I don't watch Dr. Who, so I am not sure about what rules apply.

If I could, I would stop my Dad from having his hip operation.

If I couldn't do that, I would go spend time with him. :(

Then I would do some historical tourism. Witness the signing of the Declaration, the ratification of the Constitution, the Gettysburg Adress, etc.

Three words, Grays Sports Almanac.

From there the possibilities are fairly endless so likely my priorities would change fairly quickly.

This is a very difficult question to answer. There are so many possibilities.

So many times I hear people say they would kill Hitler and that might be a good thing but then again the world learned so much from that time. Many people choose today not to understand the lesson but the lessons from that time changed the world.

Then there are those that would want to go back and change their own history. I have thought about that also. If I change anything about my own past I would be a completely different person than I am today. Would I want that? I am not sure. Would I want to take the risk of becoming someone I am not now? Probably not.

Even when I take in all the horrible things that I have had to go through I still do not think it is worth it to change my own past.

So, what would I use a TARDIS for? I would use it to watch and learn more about things we can only guess at. Many of the ancient cultures would be high on the list and quietly watching some of the most historic of people so as not to change what they did and accomplished.

Even if I had hundreds of years to learn I am not sure I would interfere in anything. As much as there are things that MUST change about this world anything I did to change the past might not work for the better.

I think I would observe temporal prime directive. However, I would want to witness as much as I could. :)

If I had a Tardis....

I'd probably be a limey which is pretty scary.

You guys REALLY need to read 11/22/63 by Stephen King. It's all about time travel, and a famous event that took place on that date.

Bah. If Stephen King really knew anything about time travel he would have avoided that van.

*taking notes, just in case*

:-)

Also, I'd go find all the lottery numbers where the winner wished to be anonymous, and play those numbers. Then I'd find all the anonymous charitable donations, and donate large portions of those lottery winnings to those.
I should still have a bunch left over to do other things with!
