TOPIC: Bad Move???

As of Friday, 23, I have withdrawn from college, before the year ever started. The reason being that the school I planned to attend could not forsure me that I was going to get my loans (I hand delived my app. and they lost it). Do you all think it was a good move or not.

I plan on going to another one but that will not be till January at the soonest.
Its funny how something that takes multiple days to set up comes down in a few hours...

Same here. Larry told me that Sullivan was not that great, now I see why. Jefferson Community College, here I come.

School finance can be a real pain. My mom has to jump thru 50-million hoops every year for my sister's loans/grants/etc.

Starting school a semester later won't make a big difference in the long haul, and it's important to know the $$ are set up.

Well this place I'm going now is only about $18,000 the place I left was $32,000.

Plus you now have an extra 3 months to work extra hours and save up some $$.

I agree with Les also, in the grand scheme this one semester will not make a big difference.

And don't write off community colleges. I went to a CC for two years, then transfered to a University. I have the same degree everyone else does, but I spent THOUSANDS less than they did.

I'll second what Conspiracy mentioned. Community Colleges can be a great way to save money. And the faculty at the CC I went to were everybit as good 4-year Universities.
