I liked Avatar alot, and even my wife liked it.  My only complaint was the seemingly indestructible evil colonel.<br />

I feel no drive to see it the flick now, if ever. I imagine I'll have to at one point if it becomes a major pop culture icon, but I'm betting it's more likely that it'll go poof and vanish.

<br /><br />I don't think the technology will go poof and vanish though. Perhaps another movie that uses the same technology will come out that will be better.

I haven't watched tv (other than those few times I've been in a hotel somewhere) in around 2 years now. That means I almost never see movie previews and commercials so I never know what's playing. The only thing I know about avatar can be summed up with giant smurfs with boobs with a ridiculously anvilicious aesop.
