Which version of this token would people prefer:

A. +5 to hit
B. +4 to hit and 3x crit multiplier
C. +4 to hit and 19+ crit range

I'm pretty sure most would prefer B.

If most would not prefer B, then perhaps we should go back to the drawing board entirely with a different legendary, as it seems the main feature of this weapon isn't what most prefer.

+5 on the to hit is one of the main reasons Legendary weapons are worth the investment of resources. That said I main rogue so I’ll likely get the legendary crossbow assuming it is not nerfed somewhere in the process.

Of the options you layout clearly B is what I would go with. But I really feel all legendary weapons going forward should be +5 as part of the legendary starting point. Just my personal opinion though.

I wasn't sure if this was enough. I get that 3x and +5 may be too much.

I dont know if the extra undead/were damage might be the right balance. It can even be 5 or 10

x3 is the main power and is extremely powerful in person for a good slider. A +1 legendary with x3 and crit range of 19-20 is more inline with what a legendary should be.

Currently the relic bow is worse than assassins crossbow. And if the goal is to have the legendary be just a better version of assassins crossbow then a +2 or +3 to hit and damage seems in line with what legendary’s should be.

3x Crit is powerful enough in and of itself. For legendary power levels, please reference Surtr’s, redoubt items, or Odin’s. No need to expand the Crit range of top of it - let other tokens synergize with it to get it there.

A +3 relic with a neat ability upgrading into a +4 legendary with an upgraded version of that cool ability seems an appropriate progression. It works for Io's, it works for Kilgore's.

As far as the x3 crit damage vs expanded crit range discussion goes: having the x3 crit damage feels like the entire point. I have the impression that a large part of the purpose of this item is to give a "fixed" version of the assassin crossbow rather than a straight reprint in a year where it would be thematically appropriate.
