In general I agree, but it shouldn't be less than the collection of the components. The Transmuted Ring seems weaker than almost all the URs that feed into it. As written the Arcanum Ring isn't much more powerful than the UR Amulet of the Champion, which really isn't in that much demand.

The Ring of the 5th Circle gives +2 AC, the Arcanum Ring just gives +1 AC.
The Ring of the 4th Circle gives +5 HP, so does the Arcanum Ring.
The Ring of the 3rd Circle gives +2 to Saves, the Arcanum Ring just gives +1 to Saves.
The Ring of the 2nd Circle gives -2 to Melee Attacks, the Arcanum Ring has no DR at all.
The Ring of the 1st Circle gives +1 Level (conditional), the Arcanum Ring has no +1 Level ability at all.

I agree that +2 to all abilities is elegant, but it is also far too weak a bonus for the Arcanum Ring just by itself. It is outshone by the individual Circle Rings. Adding +1 AC, Saves, and DR would at least get it to around the bonuses of Rings #2-5 even though it leaves out Ring #1 completely.

Having the arcanum ring grant +2 to all ability scores and +1 level might be nice, now that we have an idea about the 1st ring.

Absent from this analysis, the fact that the transmuted ring also gives:

+1 to hit with melee
+1 to damage with melee
+1 to hit with ranged
+1 to damage with thrown/mighty weapons
Enables Clerics, Druids, and Rogues to equip a 2nd Figurine of Power

Which isn't nothing.

Also, let's remember the 1st ring isn't set yet.

The sacred ring is amazing at +2 to ability scores. It adds +1 to saves, +1 to Ac, +1 to hit and damage in melee, +1 to hit in ranged, +5 hp, and potentially allowing a second fop.

It shouldn’t recreate all 5 rings because it’s just 1 slot.

How many rings can be worn at once (4 next year)? And would you want to max out your ring slots with the X Circle rings? Just something to consider too...2¢

I'm fine with the ring, but remember; though I expect most to equip the Earcuff of Glory next year, it will mean giving up a current Earcuff. For many, that will be Arcane or Orbits which means giving up 2 charms or ioun stones.

If you were using charm of glory, giving up Arcane for EGG only costs you 1 charm slot. I expect Arcane to be the common drop for EGG in that case.

I wouldn't assume that. Jeff might want to do something completely different. +1 Level would be redundant for people that already have Eldritch, which I'm guessing is a sizeable percentage of those that will get Arcanum sets.

I plan to give up Orbits because I already gave up 4 charms switching to Bibwicks. I'll get the IS slots back from Safehold I. I can add 2 charms back from Fiend follower but that gives up benefit of adding a different slot.

Thing become a little easier in 2027 but that's a ways off. In the meantime it's all about choices which I consider very positive.

I like that set up a lot. I would also love the flavor of: +2 to all Ability Scores, +1 Saves, +1 AC, 1 Level, and +1 DR (so they align and stack with the Greaves) but understand if that feels overtuned in which case I’d drop one of the bonuses.

I’d very much like to see either the ring give plus one level, or the set bonus include plus one level. I don’t think we should assume that most people own the Eldritch set. Also the ring of heroism is going to be displaced by this new ring.
