I'm 100% certain Jeff will clarify everything related to the Coin of Wealth and it will address a lot of the concerns and questions raised. He did say the recipes would be revisited.

Every token is supposed to be carried, whether TE or not. Note how the proliferation of slots just makes physically carrying builds that much more painful, though could avoid that with in person play by just not filling out every slot.

Anyway, making all TEs slotless and giving +1 treasure pull is the absurd power gain that justifies someone chasing the token, at least based upon how much the invested playerbase already chases more power (and more treasure).

Corey Pressler wrote: It sounds like most people here agree that the recipe should include the CoA and the 3 beads, but it is pretty divided about including the nuggets. As John mentioned, if the nuggets are included it would essentially cap the number of CoW's by the amount of Silver nuggets out there. Here are some ideas with ways to mitigate the issues:

1. Include the 3 Nuggets in the recipe - If this is done, I'd suggest TD start reprinting the nuggets in 2029, 2031, and 2033 or else they limit the amount of CoW's that can be made.

2. Do not include the 3 nuggets in the recipe - By doing this, the commitment to never include those in the recipe is honored. If the nuggets just become slotless, then people will still hold them and the Silver nugget will still stay in $350 range. If the CoW states that these cannot be equipped, then they could hit the secondary market and the prices drop.

3. Just make an exception to the CoW that an Omni Orb can be used in the recipe in place of a TE. Or, create a new type of Omni... an Omni Enchancer which can be used in the place of a TE in the CoW recipe.

#2 is the solution I've recommended, but I don't understand the concern that the number of CoW is capped by the number of Silver Nuggets. There are likely hundreds (at a minimum) of Silver Nuggets in circulation, the amount of CoW that will be transmuted is probably a fraction of that amount. Plus, I'd have to guess that nearly everyone that might transmute a CoW already has a Silver Nugget.

Easy solution is to reprint IS Silver Nugget in 2026.

Keep COW as is and jn TD database indicated 27-30 max treasure depending on being 6th level player and how many COAs, CoGF, COWs are equipped in party.

Right now we seem to be printing a new TE every other year so there is always one in print. What if we used the off years to reprint older TEs, maybe starting with the nuggets or COGF.

Assuming we wanted to start with the silver nugget I would also suggest that we don't directly reprint it but something like a pewter nugget that "counts as a silver nugget". That way people can still catch up but we could also escape the "cant be included in recipes" promise.

Is reprinting TEs desirable to TD? I believe part of the reason that they come every other year and don't get reprinted is because they are a sales driver - both from everyone adding to them their own builds, as well as speculators buying extra to later sell. Reprints won't be exciting to people who already have them and it will discourage people from buying extra to later resell.

I feel this is also why a treasure cap was never implemented, even though calls to implement a cap started roughly 10 years ago.

I could see a reprint of the silver nugget as a solution to many thoughts, but I do question if it's a real distractor as most if not everyone who will make a safehold 1 and then the CoW will likely already have it. If it's a concern about future players being able to obtain, then after the Bead in 2027, every two years they could reprint an old TE for newer players. So, in 2029 they could make a reprint of the Silver nugget then.

I don't actually see it hurting if it was done thoughtfully on the off years. For example the older less ubiquitous TEs like CoGF, RoR, or silver nug . Demand for those seems to outstrip supply. Id would buy a few of each even though I dont "need them".

That is my thinking exactly, I think reprinting TE tokens would kill the golden goose. I think a lot of people buy a lot of extra TE tokens specifically because they haven't been reprinted yet and seem to be one of the only decent purchases that might hold value over the medium to long term. I think if TE tokens start getting reprinted, I think people would liquidate whatever extras they have and would stop buying extras. I know I would.

I may very well make a Safehold I and I do not have a silver nugget. I just can’t justify $350 for it just for 2 extra treasure.

If I do go for it I may have to bite the bullet and buy it.

Give it some time to see if it will be reprinted or a functional equivalent is printed. A COW is not required to play Mythic. Just having a Safehold 1 is. The other 4 Mythics token will make it more likely you can survive a Mythic run. The COW just frees up slots.
