If he wants the total to be 30, then I agree it should be +26.

The original CoW was 20 treasure chips, so if the 3 nuggets are added in, it should grant 26 treasure chips.

The extra player level is not a TE, just a benefit. Same with the 3 for the adventure.

Been thinking some more, what about this:

Coin of Wealth: +26 Treasure Chips, see tokendb.com for details

Then on Tokendb.com it would basically state that Coin of Wealth grants the effects of Charm of Avarice, etc. etc. and that those can't be equipped.

I agree with you that this wording is more in line with what I'd expect the token to do. I would generally suggest having no words on the token at all and expect Mythics to be exclusively defined in the TokenDB. Beyond that general suggestion I think that the recipe definitely meets what I'd expect something of this power level to cost. Thank you for sharing!

As written I feel like COW becomes a trap as soon as TD wants to print another TE a few years down the road. That would probably also urk people few years down the road.

If the goal is consolidation, maybe something like "cannot equip TEs printed before 2025".

Or a recipie points system for people who still have cogfs/ror/hops kicking around.

Jeff Martin wrote: We can re-visit this later when recipes are finalized, but I think it would be good now to get a somewhat defined recipe lists for the Coin of Wealth and the four other Mythic tokens. This is the proposed cost:

Coin of Wealth
(+30 Treasure Chips, no other Treasure Enhancer tokens may be equipped (slotless))

40x Alchemist Ink
40x Alchemist Parchment
12x Aragonite
100x Darkwood Plank
50x Dwarven Steel
12x Elven Bismuth
15x Enchanter's Munition
10x Golden Fleece
35x Minotaur Hide
100x Mystic Silk
10x Oil of Enchantment
100x Philosopher's Stone
1x 100,000GP Mythic Ore Bead

plus 1 of each of the following treasure enhancers (required)
• Charm of Avarice
• Ioun Stone Silver Nugget
• Ioun Stone Gold Nugget
• Ioun Stone Platinum Nugget
• Bead of Bounty
• Bead of Greed
• 2027 Treasure Enhancer Bead

Recipe for Any of the Four Remaining Mythics

30x Alchemist Ink
30x Alchemist Parchment
10x Aragonite
80x Darkwood Plank
40x Dwarven Steel
10x Elven Bismuth
10x Enchanter's Munition
10x Golden Fleece
30x Minotaur Hide
80x Mystic Silk
10x Oil of Enchantment
80x Philosopher's Stone
2x 25,000GP Eldritch Ore Bar
2x Omni Orb

IMO the three Ioun Stones--Silver, Gold, and Platinum should not be required as ingredients in the recipe for the Coin of Wealth. This would allow the adventurers who are transmuting for the Coin of Wealth to sell their set of nuggets. Adventurers who do not have nuggets could buy them on the secondary market and the number of Coin of Wealth would not be limited to the number of Ioun Stone Silver Nuggets that were purchased. Also, this would preserve that they were never going to be in a transmute. (Note: If the nuggets would be reprinted at some point then this post is a mute post.)

Instead of having the TEs as part of the recipe, maybe just have the CoW effect be that all TEs are slotless? This would effectively be exactly the same as the current proposal, other than needing to carry the extra physical tokens instead of having them built into the mythic effect, This would provide futureproofing against any further TEs printed in later sets.
I play Rogue. Occasionally I even play Rogue well.

I do not like this. Unscrupulous players could sell Coin and TEs individually and leave another holding the short end of the stick.

If the mythic coin just said "TEs become slotless" I don't understand how that could be misrepresented?

What exactly are you concerned about? I don’t understand?

Isn't one of the main benefits of the current design that players don't need to carry around all the various TE tokens and coaches don't have to check all the various TE tokens? I'm very unlikely to ever own a CoW, but if I did I'd prefer that it actually replace a bunch of TE tokens so I didn't have to carry them and show them in the Coaching Room.

It sounds like most people here agree that the recipe should include the CoA and the 3 beads, but it is pretty divided about including the nuggets. As John mentioned, if the nuggets are included it would essentially cap the number of CoW's by the amount of Silver nuggets out there. Here are some ideas with ways to mitigate the issues:

1. Include the 3 Nuggets in the recipe - If this is done, I'd suggest TD start reprinting the nuggets in 2029, 2031, and 2033 or else they limit the amount of CoW's that can be made.

2. Do not include the 3 nuggets in the recipe - By doing this, the commitment to never include those in the recipe is honored. If the nuggets just become slotless, then people will still hold them and the Silver nugget will still stay in $350 range. If the CoW states that these cannot be equipped, then they could hit the secondary market and the prices drop.

3. Just make an exception to the CoW that an Omni Orb can be used in the recipe in place of a TE. Or, create a new type of Omni... an Omni Enchancer which can be used in the place of a TE in the CoW recipe.
