As a general rule, adding specific restrictions to something is an indication that the concept needs to be reworked. I'd be in favor of just letting the interactions happen and making some general rules on interactions so that individual tokens don't need a wall of text in TokenDB.

Examples:
1. Just let Horn of Plenty + Amulet of Treasure Finding happen. If someone really wants to burn all their slots on treasure enhancers to get 4 extra treasure, let them.
2. Make a general rule around tokens in a transmute chain can't be used with others in the same slot. Then have things like Viper Fang be an explicit exception rather than the rule other things design around.

Good points. I guess I was seeing TEs from an admin viewpoint -- hoping to make things easier in Epilogue.

Don't be afraid of taking this slower. Forum-folks are likely not representative of your players.

Do surveys! Run conjoint studies! Get feedback post vtd and irl runs!

For something that's:
1) shaping the games trajectory
2) expensive

It seems fine to take it slow and iterate. SH1 already does a bunch, so you don't *have* to tie mythic to it's release. For what it's worth, you don't have to do anything, despite how loud people get.

It seems that a lot of the discussion has been:
1. How about X?
2. PersonA: I love it. PersonB: I hate it.
3. Okay, how about Y?
4. PersonA: I hate it. PersonB: I love it. PersonC: how about this wildly different third thing.
5. Rinse and repeat.

I'm more concerned that this is deadline driven development, and not really focused on:
1. What you, Jeff and the TD crew, *want* the game to be.
2. Quantitatively looking at what people's feelings are.

So far the mythic ideas have been a bit of whiplash, it's a bit hard to follow. It would be a shame if it all ends up just being +more to stats.

Thanks for your good concerns. There is some "behind the scenes" stuff going on, but the feedback here is invaluable. I wish we had the bandwidth to make a more complicate system (as we tried last year) but we have certain restrictions that brought us back to reality.

Restrict a player to equipping a single class relic or class legendary to avoid stacking issues.

Ah, that's a consideration I hadn't thought through! That verifying 10 treasure enhancers + 1 6th level or better token (signet ring, badge of nobility) would eat into epilogue a lot. Plus then doing an extra 4 draws from the box per person if a full party decides to deck themselves out in max gear, since it still doesn't get to the point of 2 full rolls of 20.

Jeff Martin wrote: The cost of the Coin of Wealth will be more than the other Mythic tokens, but it will include all the lower TEs involved (tbd). The other Mythic items will have a cost of about 50% higher than a 2025 Legendary. The recipe to make the four non-Coin of Wealth Mythics will be balanced across all Trade tokens, and only the Coin of Wealth will require a 100,000 GP Bar.

Note that you must have a Safehold I token equipped to use any Mythic token in your adventure.

Thanks for your feedback!

I would like to see the coin of wealth be along the same price as the other mythic tokens if they are going to be 50k.

The new avarice had been promised years ago before the safehold program. I don’t think anyone was expecting to need to shell out close to 200k gold to get one at the time (saying this as a player that is only going through the hoops of safeholds to get the avarice upgrade). I think the paywall on this token is way too high all things considered.

What would you think of having two sided mythic tokens, one side to be used on mythic difficulty and one side for lower level difficulty, if these are to be RFID chips then you do not need the security impressions

Thanks for the cool idea, but perhaps we can use it at a later time -- on a different area. We are moving on from the Mythic tokens to the development of the 2026 tokens.
