I'm not opposed to the idea, but technically you can already substitute an Omni Orb for any of the Idols, Runes or Tinkering Bits in a recipe. A little pricey, thus the merits of this idea. Just saying that a substitute is already available.

It is, but with 40 tokens per recipe it seems like a lot to spend six URs for each 50GP token you are missing. I was hoping for a somewhat cheaper transmute for large volume, low-rarity recipes from the treasure boxes. I may well end up doing exactly that for the Totem of Wonder though, I think I'm now only missing one token.

For the patron tokens, if you are going to be continuing the spirit pets I would like to suggest pidlwick for one of them.

Start a 5-8 year transmute with pieces that come with an 8k order.

Make the pieces do something themselves, sort of like rod of seven parts pieces did.

Although, maybe wait till 2027 year as 2026 is path fragment 4.
