TOPIC: 2026 Transmute Token Ideas

Start a 3-5 year transmute series for the 2nd Arcanum item.

Back, Legs, or waist seem like a good slot to target to me.

I could see back being a good target, maybe a cycle of +Wil/Reflex/Fort saves cloaks that merge into a +All save style thing like kilt did. Greater cloaks are getting harder to find over the last few years.

Since it seems we may not be getting a waist slot Mythic melee token, perhaps a transmuted set that updates the power level of the waist slot to more recent standards:

UR Waist slot: +3 to melee hit and damage
Relic Waist slot: +4 to melee hit and damage
Legendary Waist slot: +5 to melee hit and damage

Offer alternate recipes for the Legendary that uses Surtr's Girdle of Fire Giant Strength.

Why do we need +5/+5 in waist? Surtr's is still in top end melee builds

Wouldn't that overlap with the final UR in the Greaves (and Ring) transmutes?

Maybe special GP tokens could be transmutable for GP for one year only. Like, for 10,000 GP (maybe with added trade item tokens) you can get a 10,000 GP Diamond Necklace token with the 2025 date on the back. Maybe every year could have one or two special GP denomination transmuted Jewelry tokens. I'd be very tempted to transmute my extra GP into a special Jewelry token. Maybe this year could be a Cravenwood Necklace - I'm thinking that maybe the Cravenwood Logo Jeff did would be perfect, and the red on it could be Rubies.

Players wouldn't be out much since (in this example) the Diamond Necklace token is still a 10,000 GP token, but it would also take some GP out of circulation since some collectors would likely hold onto theirs instead of cashing them in later.

The Fate cards this year made me think of a token name which could be a fun transmute of some kind:

To borrow Impy's idea for Charms of Vampirism and apply them to the current UR Ring of the Vampire, I think it would be fun to have a transmute line for them roughly like this:

Ring of the Vampire
+1 Darkrift Damage to melee
Heal 2 HP on a melee hit 1/rd

Greater Ring of the Vampire
+2 Darkrift Damage to melee
Heal 3 HP on a melee hit 1/rd

The Count's Ring of the Vampire
+3 Darkrift Damage to melee
Heal 4 or 5 HP on a melee hit 1/rd

The specifics of the names could be changed, as could the specific numbers, but the general idea would be fun ^^

I like the ideas people have been posting about a crossbow. Bard could really use a legendary ranged weapon (other than thors)

Has it ever been considered for a multiple path transmute?

Using the ring of the vampire as an example.

It can turn into 2 different relics, one relic can be used by cleric, paladin, Druid. Maybe a focus and/or sacred bonus.

The other path has the other classes and follows the life steal path.

That gives an option for any player that likes to play certain classes. It also could be a different UR for the legendary. Which in theory could make other URs more desirable for the transmute.

(similar art as happy chimp, but with bared fangs and circular saw blades instead of cymbals)
maybe requires one of the components of the happy chimp recipe, but happy chimp adds something that might improve monkey happiness, perhaps one of the monster trophies is like a familiar's fez or maybe some sort of spectral soul dust
